It is targeted to be an open-source IP for VLSI design of a targeted processor and glue logic aimed at developing nations. When we consider the cost of a modern computer system, the CPU carries the maximum cost. IndSilicon aims to reduce this cost. The high cost of fabrication can be reduced by production in large amount. This will make the systems cheaper than the existing ones. They can also be optimised for local language applications for the masses. We also aim to produce VLSI IP for embedded and automation domain since source language of development is independent of functionality requirements. A common public IP and lower costs shall make IT more accessible to the masses. We need funds to develop it and expect financial and manpower support from the community.
